INFO ABOUT THE YACHT
GIZ is a
14.25 metre Turkish built sailing yacht with captain
suitable for couples, honeymooners or small groups of
family or friends who would like to experience the thrill
of sailing in the safe hands of a professional skipper.
The yacht is based in Bodrum GIZ can accommodate up to 5
guests comfortably. Sensibly built for Mediterranean
cruising the cockpit is much larger than on a fiberglass
sailing yacht. There is a dining table and comfortable
seating covered by a sun awning. The foredeck is
uncluttered and has 4 full size sun bathing mattresses.
There is a large double master cabin with en suite shower
and toilet, a smaller double cabin with en suite shower
and toilet and one more small double/large single cabin
with separate shower and toilet. Down below there is
plenty of headroom. Captain Ali speaks English and knows
the Turkish coast intimately. He does all the cooking and
also plays classical and Spanish guitar which adds
something special to charters on board his yacht. Although
it helps to have an interest in sailing it is not
absolutely necessary, because of its wide beam the yacht
is stable and of course cruising with the motor is also
possible. Ali is happy for guests to participate in the
sailing and is also a patient teacher. Food and drink is
extra, Captain Ali takes his guests to the supermarket
where they can pay by credit card if they wish. To save
time he can also shop in advance, he knows the quantities
required and would just need an idea of any special
dietary requirements, likes and dislikes. As this is a
relatively small sailing yacht we do not suggest a huge
cruising area, clients prefer to sail short distances to
give them plenty of time for relaxation and swimming. Also
the captain is alone on board, running the yacht and doing
all the cooking, he cannot make long deliveries and start
a charter without some rest. *** this this
